Privacy Policy

Bluelyze: BLE & GATT Scanner · Effective 3 November 2026

Introduction

This policy explains how Bluelyze ("we", "the app") handles information. It applies to the iOS, iPadOS and macOS app and to the Android app.

Key points. There is no account and no server that stores your data. Scan results, favorites and history stay on your device. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which collect some data (see below). Neither app contains an analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

Data in the app

Information about nearby Bluetooth devices (names, identifiers, signal strength, advertisement and characteristic data you read), your favorites, history, custom names and settings are stored in a local database on your device. We never receive them. Deleting the app deletes this data from the device. Data of other people's devices that you scan is yours to handle lawfully.

Webhook push (iPhone, iPad, Mac)

If you set a webhook address, the app sends characteristic values from devices you connect to, as JSON over HTTPS, to that address when notifications arrive. This is off until you configure it. The data goes to the address you entered, which is controlled by you or a service you use. We do not receive it.

Advertising (free version)

The free version of the iPhone, iPad and Android apps shows banner ads from Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google and its partners may collect and process data such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and ad interactions, subject to Google's privacy policy. We do not receive this data. The Mac version shows no ads.

Purchases (Apple devices)

Bluelyze Pro is processed by Apple (App Store) under Apple's terms and privacy policy. We receive no payment details. The app checks your purchase status with the App Store. The Android app offers no purchase.

Permissions

Export and backups

CSV and JSON exports go where you save or share them. We never receive them. On Android, your device's system backup (Google) may also include app data, depending on your device settings.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

We hold no personal data about you in our own systems, so there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our side. For data handled by Google for ads, use Google's controls and your device settings. Under the GDPR you may contact us or your data protection authority with any request or complaint.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
